Professional Summary

I am Tamar, a pre-doctorate student of social sciences at Humboldt University of Berlin. I'll be teaching IGCSE Sociology and Global Perspectives from September at the British School in Romania, and I'm also willing to continue teaching other subjects, which I used to teach before at the Korean International School in Qingdao, China, and online in Hong Kong: AP Psychology, AP Comparative Government and Politics, International Relations/ MUN, World Literature, Debates, IB Global Politics, IB Psychology, IB English Language and Literature, A-level Politics, and Perspectives on Ideology (Canadian curriculum).I usually help students to prepare for exams by focusing on areas of their weakness and encouraging them to read sources less familiar to them, since that would help them to meet IB standards when writing papers. During classes we discuss past papers, work on exam questions, etc. In addition, many times I worked with students on their English writing skills and edited their drafts since a large majority of my former and current students are non-native speakers of English, and they needed to work on their English skills while studying the above-listed subjects, and also because writing papers is an important part of exam preparation. Lots of my students are currently students at the best universities of the U.S., the UK, and South Korea, and I'm glad to know I have contributed to that.

Teaching Experience

I was teaching AP subjects at Korean International School in Qingdao, China. Later I used to teach IB Global Politics, IB Psychology , IB English Language and Literature and A level Politics online at All Round Education in Hong Kong and at Brillianz Education in Georgia.
